The City University of New York (“CUNY”) Law Review is a student-run publication devoted to producing public interest scholarship, engaging with the public interest bar, and fostering student excellence in writing, legal analysis, and research.
All students in good academic standing are eligible to apply, and selections are made on the basis of student writing, editing abilities, and personal statements. We always aim to achieve a staff that reflects the diversity of the law school’s student body.
CUNY Law Review is published twice-yearly, in Winter and Summer. The “Executive Articles” section is where authors can submit long, traditional law review pieces, the “Notes & Comments” portion is typically reserved for student publications, the “PIPS” section is designated for practitioners and attorney pieces, and the “Footnote Forum” is geared towards shorter, more timely articles that discuss current legal issues and trends and features articles published on a rolling basis throughout the year.
Since March 2016, CUNY Law Review has been published in an all-digital format to ensure that readers are able to access legal scholarship on critical social justice issues in an efficient and modern way. Access all issues of CUNY Law Review at CUNY Academic Works.
For inquires or to submit an article, please email us at cunylr@mail.law.cuny.edu. We accept articles during April to June for our Winter issue and from August to October for the Summer issue.
